
In honor of the 85th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding opera performer and People's Artist of the USSR Bulat Minzhilkiyev, the V International Festival of Opera Art will be held at the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev.
According to Elena Myagkova, head of the literary and dramaturgical department of the theater, the event will take place on December 13 and 14. The festival will feature famous artists from the world opera stage. During the gala concert, the audience will enjoy performances by such artists as the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Tural Agasiev, the Honored Artist of Tajikistan Saifullo Yusupov, the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Kirill Borchaninov, as well as international competition winners Tair Taji (Kazakhstan), Pavel Yankovsky (Russia), and Tunkai Kurtoglu (Turkey).
Additionally, the program will include outstanding voices of Kyrgyz opera: People's Artists Asel Bekbaeva and Bakyt Ybykeev, as well as Honored Artists Aizirek Momunova and Aibek Saralaev. Soloists Oksana Shutova, Ermek Maraimov, and Tair Beysheev will also perform on stage. The conductor's podium will be led by People's Artist of the KR Jumakadir Kanimetov and musicians Zakhar Butenko and Semetey Sultanov.
The second day of the festival, December 14, will feature a concert by the soloists of the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev, which will take place in the Malachite Hall.
The audience will be invited to enjoy works of classical music by foreign composers, as well as Russian and national classics.
“The name of Bulat Minzhilkiyev will forever remain in the history of Kyrgyz theater and world opera art. The memory of the Great Singer and Man continues to live in the hearts of people,” noted Elena Myagkova.
