Bakashev Sabitjan

Bakashov Sabitjan
Monumentalist. Painter. Born in 1941 in the village of Ak-Terek, Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region. In 1966, he graduated from the Leningrad Higher Artistic and Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina, specializing in monumental and decorative painting.
He studied under professors Kazantsev, A.K., Buchkin P.D., and Sokolov A.K.
As one of the first national monumental artists with high professional training, he actively participated in the development of monumental art in Kyrgyzstan. A versatile artist, he created works in painting and ceramics. He demonstrated a sense of form in every art form and possessed a range of expressive means.
Since 1970, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He participated in republican and international exhibitions and ceramics symposiums. Awarded the Bronze Medal of the VDNH of the USSR.

Thematic reliefs on the facade of the Memorial Museum of M.V. Frunze. Concrete. (Co-authored with A. Voronin, A. Kamensky, Z. Khabibulin). 1967.
Curtain, ceramic inserts in the foyer, limestone reliefs on the facade of the "Kyrgyzstan" cinema in Moscow. Monument of Friendship in Frunze. (Co-authored with T. Sadykov, Z. Khabibulin, architect A. Nezhurin). 1974.
Memorial complex for soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in the collective farm named after K. Marx, Ton District, Kyrgyz SSR. Concrete. 1975.
Ceramic panel, fountain, chrome grilles with colored glass, water drains, ceramic park sculptures, composition of copper "Birds" for the building and adjacent territory of the Kyrgyz Circus. (Co-authored with E. Kylchbekov, J. Moddohmatov, I. Lokoev). 1978.
