Dinara Kemelova discussed cooperation on mountain issues with a delegation from Georgia







Dinara Kemelova, the special representative of the president for the implementation of the Decade of Action, held a meeting with Alexander Khvitiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. During the discussion, which took place at the presidential administration, the possibilities for joint cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Decade of Action were considered, as well as issues related to the global mountain agenda and the exchange of experiences in sustainable mountain development.

Kemelova emphasized that Georgia and Kyrgyzstan have much in common as mountainous countries and pointed out similar problems such as climate change, natural disasters, and challenging geographical conditions faced by residents of mountainous regions. She called for active interaction at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

In addition, joint initiatives within the framework of the UN were discussed, including the organization of the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25". Khvitiashvili expressed readiness to continue cooperation and explore opportunities for interaction through the relevant agencies.
