Violations were recorded among a number of producers
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic proposed to introduce liability for violations related to the production of halal products and the provision of halal services.
According to information from the agency, the current law "On the Halal Industry" establishes requirements for halal products, including their production, certification, and labeling. The new draft law proposes to introduce liability for the release of halal products and the provision of services without the appropriate certificates, as well as for non-compliance with the rules for the certification of halal products and services.
In addition, work is underway to improve the halal certification system, which includes the digitalization of the certificate issuance process and the introduction of more transparent and effective control procedures for the production and labeling of products.
These measures are aimed at protecting consumer rights and increasing trust in halal products in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Earlier, violations were reported among some producers, including the presence of pork DNA in the products of certain companies. After reviewing the production processes and conducting repeated laboratory tests, these violations were eliminated.
