At the "AgroDialogue-2026" forum, a farmer from the Issyk-Kul region demonstrated outstanding results in growing watermelons using advanced technologies and was awarded the title of champion.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry emphasized that in the northern regions of the country, where watermelons are traditionally not cultivated, this project has become experimental. Thanks to the use of modern agricultural technologies, such as drip irrigation, the harvest was collected significantly earlier.
The farmer reported that he harvested between 60 to 80 tons of watermelons from one hectare of land. These figures show that successful cultivation of melons is possible even in northern regions.
The experience gained during this project confirms the effectiveness of implementing modern solutions and opens new horizons for the development of agriculture in the country.
