He noted that the current maximum scholarship is 60,000 soms, which does not correspond to real conditions, considering the rise in prices and inflation. In his opinion, such amounts do not allow high-level athletes to remain competitive on the international stage. The deputy urged the State Agency for Sports to work in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the government to explore the possibility of increasing payments.
Director of the State Agency for Sports Kazybek Moldazhiyev agreed on the necessity of raising scholarships in light of inflationary processes, but emphasized that a thorough analysis of the situation is required for this. He added that there are plans to review the amount of payments, including changes for holders of medals from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Moldazhiyev also mentioned that payments for the winners of the Deaflympics had not been considered before, and now the State Agency is preparing the corresponding draft law.
