In Talas, a joyful event took place: a young couple, Medina Kalieva and her husband Ryskul Syrgabaev, welcomed triplets. They shared their impressions and experiences with a Turmush correspondent.

“Our eldest child is 34 years old, my husband is 34, and I am 28. We tied the knot in 2024. By the grace of Allah, we have given birth to three baby girls,” Medina said.

Medina grew up in Talas, where she also received her education. Currently, the couple lives in Bishkek, and Ryskul has been working in the capital since 2009; he is originally from the Manas district of the Talas region.

“To be honest, it was a huge surprise for us. We were in shock when we found out about the triplets. My husband and our relatives couldn’t believe their ears. When I saw the ultrasound, the thought crossed my mind: ‘How will I be able to handle this?’ But, thank God, I managed and gave birth,” she shared, noting that the process was extremely difficult.

From the moment she learned about the triplets, Medina began to mentally prepare for this challenge. From the 28th week, she was prescribed strict bed rest. The delivery took place at the 4th maternity hospital in Bishkek, and on July 3, 2025, with the help of a cesarean section, their daughters were born: Ademiy, Adelina, and Adelya.

Now, Medina faces difficulties in caring for the babies, as her husband works tirelessly and cannot help at home. Ryskul works during the day at a construction company and is a night security guard. “He doesn’t know what rest is, and it’s very hard,” she noted.

The family spends about 25,000 soms a month on baby items, including formula, diapers, and medications. The rent for their apartment is 35,000 soms.

Medina realized that the feeling of motherhood is truly unique: “Now I understand what the phrase means, ‘no matter how many children there are, they all reside in the heart.’ Each of our daughters has her own character and holds a special place in our souls.

“The happy moments are just beginning. The girls are still small, but they are already showing their habits — it’s so cute. They are trying to crawl and are very active. A funny moment: if one of them wakes up, she might take the pacifier from her sister and put it in her mouth,” she shared about her daughters, adding that the days are full of activity and the nights are sleepless.

Currently, the family is renting a home in Bishkek and cannot register to receive child benefits. “We reached out for help to the mayor's office and the presidential residence, but they told us, ‘You are from Talas,’ and there was no assistance. We do not have our own home in Bishkek or Talas,” Medina explained.

“Living with three small children in a rented apartment is very difficult. When the children cry, the neighbors complain, and the landlord has already told us to leave. We asked to stay here at least until it gets warmer,” she added.

“We hope for temporary registration to submit documents for benefits, but no one can help — we are told ‘we can’t,’ and we are still without a solution,” the woman complained.

All three girls were born with a diagnosis of hypertonicity. “They were cramped in the womb, and their muscles were tense, which is why this diagnosis was made. We are consulting a paid orthopedist and undergoing massage courses, but it’s very difficult for me to take the children to the clinic alone. For the first course, my husband took time off work, and for the rest of the courses, we did them at home, inviting specialists,” Medina shared.

The girls were also found to have a “patent foramen ovale in the heart.” “We were told that they would be monitored until they are one year old to see if it closes. We are very careful in taking care of them, as we cannot allow them to cry too much — sometimes they develop a bluish tint around their mouths, which scares us,” she added.

From the government, they received a “süyünç” — a one-time payment ranging from 50,000 to 150,000 soms after the birth of the children, which helped cover examinations and treatment costs.

“Dear President Sadyr Nurkhojaevich, you always support young families. Please pay attention to our situation. We do not have our own housing, and we cannot register and receive assistance. I do not work, as I am constantly taking care of the children, and my husband is the sole provider for the family, working two jobs,” Medina appealed to the president.
