In 2025, the production volume in the light industry reached 25 billion soms
He noted that the textile sector produced about 4 billion soms, while the clothing industry exceeded 20 billion soms, and the leather and footwear industry amounted to over 600 million soms.
“In 2024, 102 new enterprises were launched. For 2025, according to the Cabinet of Ministers' directive, it was planned to open 100 new facilities, but ultimately 119 were put into operation,” added Karasartov.
Among the successful projects, the launch of the second phase of the textile cluster in Tokmok, the opening of a textile factory in Kara-Balta, and the launch of a new enterprise in Osh, which created about 400 jobs, can be highlighted.
Furthermore, a list of projects has already been identified and approved for 2026, within which it is planned to introduce another 100 new industrial enterprises.
