During the discussion, the requirements of the Law "On the Halal Industry in the Kyrgyz Republic" were clarified, and aspects of licensing and the procedure for declaring products in accordance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union were reviewed, including certification for compliance with halal standards.
One of the key issues was the discussion of the incident related to the detection of pork DNA in the products of the company OsOO "Riha" last year.
To address this issue, a meeting was held on December 9, 2025, at the State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry," which involved representatives from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, the company OsOO "Riha," and the State Institution "Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise," as reported by the Ministry of Economy.
As a result of the meeting, OsOO "Riha" took the necessary measures to resolve the issue. Follow-up laboratory tests conducted in January 2026 did not detect pork DNA in the company's products.
The parties reached an agreement to continue cooperation in promoting domestic products.
