On January 22, 2026, specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor in the Omsk region stopped a vehicle heading to Tatarstan at the Russian-Kazakh border. During the inspection, 20 tons of butter produced by the company TOO "Maslo-Del" from Kazakhstan were presented for examination, as reported by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor.

During the verification of the accompanying documents against the actual labeling, signs of falsification were found. The veterinary certificate of the Customs Union indicated a production date of August 7, 2025. However, on the product packaging, under the paper labels, the actual factory date was discovered to be August 23, 2025.

This discrepancy in production dates violates the traceability chain of the product, complicating the confirmation of the epizootic welfare of the region of origin of the raw materials and creating risks for the circulation of potentially unsafe products.

It turned out to be impossible to import this batch into the territory of Russia, and the cargo was sent back to Kazakhstan. In addition, the carrier faced administrative responsibility.

Since the beginning of the current year, 10 violations have been recorded at the border of the Omsk region during the transportation of goods. As a result, more than 35 tons of animal products and raw materials have been detained, of which over 25 tons were returned to the senders in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, while about 10 tons were allowed into the territory of Russia.
