During the meeting, attention was focused on the current state of water resources in the country, as well as on the prospects for the development of the irrigation sector and the implementation of both short-term and long-term projects.
Ajibayev discussed key issues related to providing regions with water, with a particular emphasis on the development of irrigation systems.
He noted the importance of restoring water supply systems in the villages of Baul and Kok-Tash in the Leilek district to meet the water needs of local farmers.
Additionally, the issue of the necessity for monitoring groundwater levels was raised, taking into account the inventory of wells and the preparation of forecast data considering climate changes.
In response, Abdybay Jaiylbaev reported that an inventory of wells is currently being conducted, and based on the results, a database will be created.
He added that the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences has been tasked with studying water basins throughout the republic and preparing scientifically grounded forecasts for the next half-century period.
