At the meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev summarized the work done in 2025 and outlined priority areas for the current period.

In his speech, he highlighted the most significant achievements, among which he noted the resolution of issues related to the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as the main political achievement of the year.

“Our country has established diplomatic relations with 185 states, and the first Kyrgyz embassy has opened on the African continent. In 2025, 190 events were held, and 633 international agreements were signed,” he added.

Adylbek Kasymaliev also reminded that today marks five years since Sadyr Japarov was appointed president.

“Comparing the state of affairs in 2020 and the current time shows colossal changes; one could say it is like night and day. Many significant projects have been implemented. In 2025, the consolidated budget exceeded 1 trillion soms for the first time,” he noted.

The head of the cabinet highlighted several factors that contributed to the increase in the budget: economic growth, an increase in GDP from 8.3 billion dollars in 2020 to more than 22.6 billion dollars in 2025, improvements in tax administration, as well as a several-fold increase in tax and customs revenues. Non-tax revenues increased 8-9 times, and growth was also observed in sectors such as construction, trade, services, agriculture, and industry. Additionally, the rise in global gold prices and revenues from "Kumtor," which amounted to over 5 billion dollars, also impacted the budget.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of practical solutions in the field of multimodal transportation, digital logistics, and transport connectivity, as well as the promotion of projects in solar and wind energy and small hydropower plants, which will help attract investments in large tourism projects.

“Moreover, Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and preparations for the summit to be held in Bishkek in 2026 are of particular significance. It is important to continue working on promoting our country's candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for the years 2027-2028,” he added, giving a number of instructions to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
