However, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Shaiyrbek Tashiev expressed doubts about this measure, noting that such a price does not provide real support for farmers.
“This is not support, as diesel fuel is sold at a similar price at gas stations. Farmers can purchase fuel on their own at any gas station,” the deputy emphasized.
He also pointed out the existence of the state enterprise "Kyrgyzneftegaz," which could supply cheaper fuel for farmers working in the southern regions.
“Currently, diesel fuel costs them 68 soms per liter. You could mandate this enterprise to sell fuel to farmers, as it is a state-owned company. They extract oil in our country and refine it into fuel — this should be a privilege for our agrarians,” Tashiev added.
In addition, the deputy mentioned the company "Junda," which, in his opinion, is capable of supplying fuel to the northern regions of the republic.
“As for the northern part of the country, the company 'Junda' produces twice as much fuel as 'Kyrgyzneftegaz.' This company could be mandated to provide farmers in the northern regions with fuel at lower prices,” he noted.
Tashiev also suggested that the Ministry of Agriculture could sign agreements with the mentioned companies for the supply of fuel at reduced prices during the spring field work period.
