Potato harvest in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 decreased to a 20-year low
On January 19, the National Statistical Committee published information stating that the total potato harvest amounted to 1 million 170.2 thousand tons. Archive data from the NSC indicate that the last time such a low harvest was recorded was indeed in 2005.
In a publication dated January 23, the National Statistical Committee linked the decline in potato production volumes to a reduction in sown areas, which decreased by 2.7% compared to 2024.
