The purpose of this document is to implement the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ensuring Food Safety in the Kyrgyz Republic," and it includes the following provisions:
— the procedure for mandatory conformity assessment for machines, equipment, as well as materials and products used at all stages of the development, production, and circulation of food products;
— a list of necessary information for conducting state monitoring and the procedure for its provision from customs authorities, the authorized body for technical regulation, conformity assessment bodies, and testing laboratories.
The draft also proposes that materials and products that come into contact with food products be accompanied by a document confirming their compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
If the resolution is adopted, ministries and agencies will be given six months to align their decisions with it, and accredited product certification bodies will need to follow the approved procedure.
The document will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
