According to information from the GKNB, S.K.O. grossly neglected the norms of legislation, jeopardizing his reputation as a prosecutor's employee. He used his official position for personal gain, exerting pressure on convicts and demanding amounts of up to 2000 US dollars from them. Otherwise, the prosecutor threatened to appeal court decisions, which could lead to actual imprisonment.
On February 1 of this year, as part of operational investigative activities, GKNB employees, together with a representative of the General Prosecutor's Office, detained S.K.O. at the crime scene while receiving part of the extorted amount of 140,000 soms.
At present, the detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB, where additional investigative actions are being conducted to identify other possible violations and accomplices.
