- In 2025, subsoil users transferred 3.5 billion soms to the state budget, intended for the improvement and maintenance of local infrastructure. This information was announced by the Ministry of Finance.

Compared to the previous year, the amount of contributions increased by almost 50%, which amounts to 1.1 billion soms. Of the total amount, 2.8 billion soms went to the republican budget, while 0.7 billion soms was allocated to local budgets.

Contributions for the development of local infrastructure are made by both individuals and legal entities engaged in the extraction of mineral resources. Exceptions include coal, mercury, mineral and thermal waters, as well as materials used in construction. These payers contribute to the development funds of regions and districts, as well as to the budgets at the location of the deposits.

The contribution rate is 2% of the revenue obtained from the sale of mineral resources, or from the cost price before processing, excluding indirect taxes and transportation costs.
