The exemption for the import of raw cane sugar will be in effect until December 31, 2026, allowing the duty-free import of this raw material up to 20,000 tons.
It is important to emphasize that the imported raw sugar is intended solely for processing within the country. The export of white sugar obtained from this preferential raw material is prohibited.
This initiative aims to provide processing enterprises with the necessary resources, support the sugar industry, and ensure stability in the domestic market. The introduction of the customs exemption will create more favorable conditions for processing and increase the efficiency of production capacities in Kyrgyzstan, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
