The main stage of the relocation of trading areas is scheduled for the summer of 2026, although the opening of the new complex in the area of Fuchik Street and the Bypass Road is expected as early as spring. Tumanbaev assured entrepreneurs that the old market will continue to operate as usual until the work at the new site is fully completed. The authorities intend to make the transition as comfortable as possible to avoid social tension.
Kanybek Tumanbaev noted that the conditions at the new trading location will be significantly better than the current ones. Equal distribution of trading areas will be ensured for all entrepreneurs, with priority given to those who are already working at the Osh market, while available plots will be offered to other interested parties later.
The issue of transport accessibility has also been resolved: the city authorities have purchased 180 new buses to ensure connectivity with the new trading hub. Tumanbaev assured that neither buyers nor sellers will face difficulties getting to the new market. The reform is aimed at creating modern trading conditions and forming a new green zone in the center of the capital.
