In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev announced the allocation of funds for the implementation of a drip irrigation system on 5.2 thousand hectares of agricultural land.
He also noted that farmers need to contact the regional Water Resources Service to sign a contract, which will be the first step towards installing the system.
During the discussion, Mavlyanova emphasized the need to support remote regions where farmers face a shortage of irrigation water.
Torobaev stressed that drip irrigation will not only ease the irrigation process but also contribute to obtaining a full and healthy harvest.
This issue was raised in the context of discussing the draft resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh on preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026.
