The press secretary of the president, Askhat Alagozov, clarified the misunderstanding that arose after Sadyr Japarov's comment about the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev.
According to him, the president emphasized that he "made this decision in the interests of our state, to prevent a split in society and strengthen unity." He did not specifically mean Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich.
Alagozov noted that individuals such as Bekbolot Talgarbeckov and Emilbek Uzakbaev acted under the name of Tashiev. They appealed to the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and public figures, urging them to "switch to the side of the general" and sign various documents, which created tension in society, including among high-ranking officials.
Due to the distortion of his previous comment about replacing Kamchybek Tashiev as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Alagozov deemed it necessary to provide clarification.
Today, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). Three of his deputies were also relieved of their positions.
The new acting head of the committee is Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov. His candidacy will be proposed for approval in the Jogorku Kenesh for the position of Chairman of the GKNB.
