Three Citizens Detained in Nooken for Religious Extremist Propaganda

In the Nooken district, law enforcement agencies have detained three individuals on suspicion of distributing religious extremist materials. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region.

According to information from the regional police, between January 29 and 31, 2026, employees of the extremism and illegal migration combat service of the Nooken District Department of Internal Affairs received information that materials with extremist content were being distributed in the area by unknown individuals.

In connection with the above, the investigative unit of the Nooken District Department of Internal Affairs registered the information in the Unified Register of Crimes, and a criminal case was initiated under Article 332 of the Criminal Code ("Manufacturing and distribution of extremist materials").

During operational activities, the suspects were identified and detained: R.K., born in 1973, A.Y., born in 1979, and I.Y., born in 1985. During searches at their residences, material evidence was seized, including 7 mobile phones, 1 tablet, 1 laptop, 26 books related to religious extremist movements, 4 DVDs, and other items.

Judicial linguistic examinations have been appointed for the seized documentation for further study.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
