At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 11, 2026, deputy Medina Kairylbekova expressed dissatisfaction regarding the lack of responses to her written inquiries. She noted that she had repeatedly approached Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zhanibek Kerimaliev, reminding him of her questions, but had received no reaction.

According to Kairylbekova, local farmers in the Manas district of the Talas region faced problems selling their harvest of bell peppers. "As a result, all these peppers are just lying in piles along the road," she reported.

In response to this statement, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev stated that this information is not accurate. He explained that farmers are merely sorting the peppers before sending them for sale.

"I do not know where you got such information, but I am sure that it is not true," Kairylbekova replied.
During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring field and economic activities in 2026 was also discussed.
