On February 11, the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Duyshiev, announced a significant simplification of the requirements for participants in the preferential lending program "Financing Agriculture-14" (FSA-14).
According to Duyshiev, in the field of crop production, the main condition for obtaining a loan is the presence of either owned or leased land. In the livestock sector, a farmer must confirm their intention to purchase livestock and provide a report to the bank on the targeted use of the loan within two months after receiving the funds.

“We have tried to significantly reduce the requirements from the state within the framework of FSA-14. For crop production, this means having land, and for livestock, it is the intention to buy livestock with subsequent reporting to the bank,” he noted.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister clarified that within the framework of other projects, the requirements for collateral are determined by commercial banks and may include both movable and immovable property. At the same time, financial institutions are also striving to make the process of obtaining preferential loans simpler and more accessible for farmers.
