"Previously, 50-60% of farmers' loans remained unpaid; the situation has now changed, - Ministry of Agriculture"
According to him, almost every country supports its agriculture in various ways, such as preferential loans, tax exemptions, and other preferences. Even in highly developed countries, Europe faces challenges in this area, which is related to the specifics of agriculture that largely depends on climatic conditions, Duyyshev noted.
In addition, he touched upon the issue of bank loans for farmers.
“During the two years that I have been working in this field, we have not had a practice of writing off bank loans. Over the past four to five years, we have conducted an analysis in this area and noticed that the repayment rate of loans has significantly increased. Previously, only 30–40% of funds were repaid, and 50–60% remained unpaid, but now more than 90% of issued loans are being repaid,” added the Deputy Minister.
