Illegal alcohol production discovered in Bishkek

The identified productions were operating without the necessary permits and licenses. Furthermore, they did not use excise stamps and did not pay the corresponding taxes, including excise tax.

The facts have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

During similar operations in the village of Lenin in the Alamudun district of the Chui region, a workshop producing the low-alcohol beverage "Makgeolli" was also discovered. The production was carried out without licenses and excise stamps, as well as without paying excise tax.

Based on the identified violations, appropriate acts have been drawn up, and administrative fines have been imposed on the offenders.

It should be noted that for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, a fine of 100,000 soms is imposed. For the sale of more than 200 units, criminal liability may arise, including imprisonment for up to 7 years.

The State Tax Service urges entrepreneurs to avoid selling excise goods without excise stamps and to carefully check their authenticity. Additionally, citizens are advised to pay attention to the presence and authenticity of excise stamps on alcoholic products and to immediately report any suspicious goods to the tax service.

The authenticity of the excise stamp can be verified using the "Salyk" mobile application, which includes a service for scanning and manually entering information.
