Marlen Mamataliyev elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan

The discussion of Marlen Mamataliyev's candidacy for the position of Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh took place during a parliamentary session.

The proposal for his candidacy was put forward by deputies from the groups "Ata-Jurt," "Ala-Too," "Eldik," "Mekenchil," and "Adilet Kyrgyzstan."

The parliamentary session transitioned to the format of the entire Jogorku Kenesh Committee for further consideration of the issue.

The committee, headed by Kurmankul Zulushiev, who is the chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and Regulation, supported Marlen Mamataliyev's candidacy.

After that, the deputies returned to the session of the Jogorku Kenesh for the final vote on the election of the Speaker.

As a result of the secret ballot, deputy Marlen Mamataliyev was elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, receiving support from 77 votes.

The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh.
