The purpose of this document is to ensure free and unrestricted access to information about registered objects in the EAEU countries:
- trademarks,
- service marks,
- geographical indications,
- designations of origin of goods.
According to the draft agreement:
- The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will create a search service that will be hosted on the EAEU information portal;
- users will be able to conduct a unified search for industrial property objects protected in all member states of the Union;
- information exchange will occur regularly through the integrated information system of the EAEU;
- all information will be available for search and retrieval at no cost;
- search results will be generated automatically based on user queries.
The authorities authorized by the EAEU member states are obliged to:
- ensure the completeness, accuracy, and relevance of the provided data;
- transmit information in accordance with the Union's common directories and classifiers.
- The Eurasian Economic Commission, in turn, will take responsibility for:
- data integrity,
- formation of a common information resource,
- preventing distortions of transmitted information.
The technical standards and regulations for the operation of the service will be determined by the EEC Board within three months after the agreement comes into force.
The Cabinet authorized the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to sign the agreement on behalf of Kyrgyzstan with the right to make non-essential changes.
The agreement will come into effect after all necessary domestic procedures are completed by all EAEU member states and the relevant notifications are sent to the depository — the Eurasian Economic Commission.
