- On February 11, 2026, during a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev addressed farmers with a request to stop breeding non-pedigree livestock.

He noted that agrarians can obtain a loan at an annual interest rate of 3% to purchase pedigree livestock.

“Instead of two non-pedigree cows, it is better to buy one pedigree cow, which will produce significantly more milk and bring more benefits,” he added.

Torobaev also stated that for those who do not wish to take out a loan, there is an opportunity to receive pedigree livestock semen for free for further breeding.

During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026 in the country was also discussed.
