The deputy insists on the necessity of transferring the Phytosanitary Service under the management of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In response, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev noted that the Phytosanitary Service operates as an independent body that carries out effective control.
“Previously, low-quality seeds, contaminated and without certificates, were entering the country, but thanks to modern oversight, this problem has been resolved,” he emphasized.
The meeting also reviewed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork in 2026.
