In his opinion, the main reason for this is the lack of irrigation water.
The response from the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev was that local reservoirs in the Panfilov district are being cleaned, and there are plans to construct a new reservoir in Kara-Balta.
Torobaev noted that the ministry is taking measures to ensure a stable supply of irrigation water in the Chui region.
Currently, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic is being reviewed regarding preparations for spring fieldwork and agricultural activities in 2026 in the country.
