In Talas, a group of cattle thieves has been neutralized: 12 episodes uncovered

Employees of the Talas region police conducted large-scale operations named "Bandit" and "Arsenal," which resulted in the disruption of a criminal group involved in livestock theft. This was reported by the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate.

According to information from law enforcement agencies, on February 1, 2026, a 53-year-old resident of the Talas district reported a theft to the police. He stated that at the end of January, two lambs were stolen from his barn. A criminal case was initiated on this fact under Article 205-1, Part 3, Clause 4 ("Theft of livestock") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result of operational activities by the criminal police, one of the suspects—J.R., born in 1985, residing in the Aitmatov district—was detained. He is currently being held in a temporary detention facility.

Another alleged member of the criminal group, T.N., born in 1981, is also a resident of the Aitmatov district. His whereabouts are currently being established.

The investigation has established that J.R. is involved in a number of similar crimes. To date, 12 cases of livestock theft have been recorded. During searches at the relatives of the detainee, 14 heads of livestock were found, including 3 cows and 11 lambs.

All discovered animals have been returned to their rightful owners.
