Searches conducted in the Tyup District: weapons, drugs, and nets seized in four villages

Employees of the Tyup District Internal Affairs Department conducted a series of searches as part of a criminal case based on Article 267 ("Illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region, the investigative actions were initiated based on a ruling from the Tyup District Court, which was issued on February 14, 2026. As a result of raids on the homes of suspects in various villages of the district, prohibited items and substances were discovered.

During a search of the home of a man born in 1959, operatives found and seized:

- parts of a firearm model "Gek";

- a sawed-off hunting rifle IZH-28;

- ammunition of various calibers;

- approximately 1 kg 700 grams of a substance with a characteristic smell of wild hemp.

In the village of Tyup, a man born in 1982 was found to have 15 spent cartridges and a significant amount of prohibited fishing gear during the search:

- a 50-meter "Nebat" net;

- 6 synthetic nets with a total length of 600 meters.

Additionally, in the villages of Ak-Bulak and Mikhailovka, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the homes of residents born in 1986 and 1988, respectively. In Ak-Bulak, 5 synthetic nets measuring 500 meters were seized, while in Mikhailovka, a plastic bag containing crushed substance emitting a characteristic smell of hemp was found.

All items and substances that were seized have been classified as physical evidence. Currently, forensic examinations have been appointed, and further investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case and the possible involvement of the detainees in other crimes.
