Starting from 2026, farmers using water-saving technologies will be able to take advantage of preferential loans with an interest rate of 2% per annum. A total of 1 billion soms has been allocated for this purpose.
Preparation for Field Work and Winter Sowing
For 2026, winter sowing is planned on an area of 118,500 hectares, of which 95,282 hectares have already been sown. Plowing has been carried out on 10,625 hectares. To ensure timely preparation for spring fieldwork, regional and district headquarters are operating under enhanced control.
Seed Provision
In 2026, the demand for grain seeds will be 24,907 tons. Currently, 23,704 tons have been stockpiled, which is 95.2% of the required volume. The region is fully supplied with oats and leguminous crops. To cover the shortage of grains, it is planned to use subsidies and the sale of seeds by seed-growing enterprises.
Equipment and Fertilizers
The region has more than 13,000 units of agricultural machinery, of which 86.8% are ready for spring work. The expected annual demand for mineral fertilizers is 37,000 tons.
Cost of fertilizers:
- ammonium nitrate — 23–30 soms per kilogram;
- urea — 29.5–39 soms per kilogram.
Sowing Areas and Crops
The total sowing area in 2026 will be 418,764 hectares, which is 550 hectares more compared to last year. Of these:
- 269,698 hectares — for grain crops;
- 96,797 hectares — for fodder crops;
- 52,269 hectares — for other crops.
According to the results of variety trials, the yield of winter wheat varieties "Pobeda-75," "Shef," and "Kolchuga" was 60–73 centners per hectare, while the safflower variety "Petrovich" showed a yield of 22.1 centners per hectare. These varieties are recommended for implementation.
Provision of Fuel and Lubricants
For conducting spring fieldwork, 12,130 tons of diesel fuel and 3,032 tons of gasoline will be required. According to the data from the Association of Oil Traders, stocks at oil depots and gas stations are at a sufficient level. Additionally, the State Material Reserves Fund offers farmers 2 million liters of diesel fuel at a price of 74 soms per liter, while the market price is 78–80 soms.
“It is expected that there will be no issues with the provision of fuel and lubricants this year,” added the first deputy representative.
