Kyrgyzstan produced food products worth 104.7 billion soms by the end of 2025
This is an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2024, as shown by official statistical data.
The physical volume index of production for 2025 was 130.1%, while in 2024 it was at 120.1%.
The largest growth was provided by the food industry, with a volume of 74.5 billion soms, increasing by 15.2% compared to the previous year. The physical volume index in this segment reached 123.8%.
In particular, the production of meat products showed significant growth: from January to December, products worth 12.1 billion soms were produced, with a physical volume index of 107.5%. December saw particularly high growth — 142.7%.
However, some areas experienced a decline. Thus, the processing and canning of fish, crustaceans, and mollusks decreased, with a physical volume index of only 70.3% compared to 114.3% in the previous year.
The production of vegetable and animal oils and fats also showed stable growth, amounting to 624.3 million soms, with a physical volume index of 107.8%.
The volume of dairy product output reached 19.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 99.1%, indicating stabilization in this segment.
In the flour and cereals segment, the production volume amounted to 10.7 billion soms; however, the physical volume index decreased to 107.4%, while in 2024 it was at 129.8%.
Thus, despite some declines in certain sub-sectors, the processing food industry of Kyrgyzstan demonstrated positive dynamics in 2025.
