According to him, there are laboratories in the country that conduct a complete analysis of planting material.
“We have laboratories, and they are operational today. Regardless of what seeds or seedlings you have, you can contact our laboratories. They will check if they are infected with diseases, if they are clean, and if they have germination strength and energy. After the inspection, you will be informed whether they are suitable for planting or not,” he said.
He noted that checking seeds is necessary even in the absence of certificates, as this helps to ensure their quality and increase production efficiency.
The minister also cited the example of a farmer who signed a contract to grow asparagus on an area of 60 hectares for a period of 15 years and is collaborating with an international company. According to him, the successful implementation of the product largely depends on the correct choice of quality seeds.
