At the end of 2025, the governments of the EAEU countries decided to implement the corresponding mechanism.
This initiative is aimed at supporting businesses, allowing them to find new partners and expand markets for agricultural products.
Karapetyan specified that assistance will be provided in four key areas:
- seed production
- animal husbandry
- processing
- agrologistics
She added that the main conditions for the participation of organizations from three EAEU member states have already been established, and the subsidy period does not exceed five years.
According to EEC information, to start the project, one of the following criteria must be met:
creation of added value
increase in export potential
provision of technology transfer
innovative development
growth of mutual supplies and investments
establishment of joint ventures
If internal procedures are completed quickly in 2024, this mechanism will be activated in the EAEU.
Earlier, Kaniyet Nasirdinov, head of the integration development sector of the EAEU Coordination Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, reported on the possibility of introducing a support mechanism for cooperative projects in the agro-industrial sector by the end of this year.
He also noted that Kyrgyzstan proposed to expand the scope of this support to the agro-industrial complex, which should contribute to import substitution, the development of agricultural product processing, and an increase in the export potential of the Union countries, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
