Of this amount, 139.6 million soms were spent on the purchase of 3,110.1 tons of tubing, while 202.4 million soms were directed towards the acquisition of 32 sprinkler systems and equipment for drip irrigation intended for processing 324 hectares. On average, new drip irrigation systems are installed annually in the country on areas ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 hectares.
It is worth noting that in the Aral district of the Tyup region, one agricultural cooperative engaged in safflower cultivation on an area of 100 hectares began processing safflower into oil on December 5, 2025, thanks to the installed innovative equipment.
Additionally, in 2025, there were 1,831 greenhouses in the republic with a total area of 298.1 hectares, which is 2% more compared to 2024. The main greenhouse complexes are located in the Jalal-Abad, Batken, Osh, and Chui regions.
The contribution of agriculture to the formation of the gross domestic product was 0.19 percentage points, while the sector's share in the GDP structure reached 8%.
