“According to media reports, previously 80 rivers flowed into the lake, but now this number has decreased to 35. This is a very alarming signal. It is important to urgently take measures to protect and preserve Lake Issyk-Kul; perhaps it is worth creating a special agency for these purposes. If we do not start acting now, Kyrgyzstan may face a serious ecological disaster in the future,” Primov emphasized.
