The village of Jangak is located in the Kadamjai district and is part of the rural administration of Moldo Niyaz.

It is situated 12–13 kilometers southwest of the Osh—Batken—Razakov highway, in a picturesque mountainous area. The village has about 30 households, and the houses are located on mountain slopes, significantly spaced apart from each other.

The history of the village's name has deep roots.

According to local residents, this walnut tree, which is over four centuries old, continues to bear fruit. The elders claim that even in their youth, their ancestors saw this tree as impressive as it is today. The trunk of the tree is thicker than four "fists," and its fruits are hard but sweet to the taste.

The residents of the mountain village mainly engage in livestock breeding, as there is insufficient land for agriculture and water sources here.
