As for imports, both meat products and live cattle are coming into Kyrgyzstan. Poultry, beef, and lamb are imported.
Among the supplying countries, two categories can be distinguished: members of the Eurasian Economic Union and third countries, with the majority of live cattle and meat coming from third countries.
“Mandatory veterinary control is carried out at the border for all products and animals. Inspectors work around the clock at the checkpoints, checking the compliance of imported goods with established veterinary requirements,” added Avazbek uulu Rayimbek.
