- A new state program has been initiated in Kyrgyzstan, offering preferential loans for breeding livestock. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to the information provided, the annual interest rate on loans is 3%.

Funding is available for agricultural producers, breeding farms, and farms included in the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as for individual entrepreneurs engaged in the import of breeding livestock and artificial insemination techniques.

Preferential lending can be used for the following purposes:


The program supports breeds of cattle such as Alatau, Hereford, Holstein, Simmental, Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, and Galloway.

The ministry noted that this program is aimed at supporting domestic livestock breeders, increasing herd productivity, improving the genetic potential of agricultural animals, and strengthening the country's food security.
