Since the beginning of February this year, 4.07 million fresh flowers have been imported into Kyrgyzstan, which is 31% more compared to January figures.
The majority of the imports are carried out via air transportation. The main supplier countries for flowers are Kenya, China, Ecuador, the Netherlands, and Colombia.
In February, the most popular flowers among buyers are roses, carnations, orchids, chrysanthemums, and lilies. Roses traditionally hold the leading position – 3.56 million pieces were imported, which constitutes the bulk of the total flower imports.
