The Ministry of Education and JICA Discussed Strategic Partnership in the Field of Education

Today, a meeting was held at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education with a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Deputy Minister of Education Lira Samykbaeva and Senior Education Advisor of JICA Murato Toshio participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, the parties considered directions for further cooperation in education. In particular, the participants discussed the need for developing inclusive education, both through improving infrastructure and by training specialists who work with children with special educational needs.

Additionally, it was proposed to update the material and technical base of vocational educational institutions and to integrate elements of inclusive education into the vocational training system. An important issue was the professional development of teachers and experts involved in developing methodologies and standards, as well as conducting analysis and monitoring of education quality.

Lira Samykbaeva emphasized the significant experience of the Japanese education system and expressed gratitude to the agency for its support and opportunities for cooperation within the framework of international programs.

Murato Toshio, in turn, reported on the development of a five-year strategic plan by JICA, in which education is one of the key areas. After analyzing the proposals, priority areas for interaction with the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic will be determined.
