The largest share of cattle population in Kyrgyzstan is concentrated in the farms of the Osh region.

- The most pronounced concentration of cattle in Kyrgyzstan is observed in the Osh region — 22% of the total number. This data was collected at the end of 2025.

The Jalal-Abad region ranks second with a 21% share, followed by the Chui region with 17% and the Issyk-Kul region, where the share is 15.5%.

As for sheep and goats, the leader is the Jalal-Abad region, which accounts for 22.5% of the total livestock. The next in numbers are the Naryn region with 17.7%, the Osh region with 17.3%, and the Issyk-Kul region with 15%.

The Naryn region holds the leading position in the number of horses with a figure of 26.3%. The Osh region is in second place with 17.8%, followed by Issyk-Kul (17.6%), Jalal-Abad (16.7%), and Chui regions with 14.5%.

Compared to 2024, there is an increase in the cattle population in the Batken region by 2.6%. The most noticeable growth was recorded in the Batken district — 8.8%, as well as in the Leilek district — 1.9%.

In the Jalal-Abad region, the growth of the cattle population was 2.2%. Specifically, in the Ala-Buka district, the increase was 4.4%, and in the Toktogul district — 3.8%.

The Naryn region also showed an increase in the cattle population by 1.8%. In the Jumgal district, this figure reached 3.8%, and in the At-Bashy district — 3.6%.

A decrease in the cattle population is observed in Bishkek and Osh.
