The press service of the Talas region's Internal Affairs Department reports that a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident on the grounds of robbery.
According to available information, on the night of March 4, 2026, a group of approximately ten young people attacked a driver named E.D., born in 2005. The assailants blocked his car, after which they inflicted physical injuries and seized the vehicle.
This incident was registered on March 5, 2026, at the Internal Affairs Department of the Bakai-Ata district. A criminal case has been opened under Article 211, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code, which covers the theft of a vehicle using violence that does not pose a threat to life and health, or with the threat of its use.
As a result of operational investigative actions, the police managed to identify six suspects, all of whom are residents of the Bakai-Ata district and were born in 2009. Currently, the detainees are in a temporary detention facility.
To determine the severity of the bodily injuries sustained by E.D., a forensic medical examination has been appointed, and the investigation is awaiting an official conclusion based on its results.
The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for the detainees until March 21, 2026.
