According to the data from the internal affairs department, on February 19, 2026, a resident identified as I.I. (born in 1992) filed a complaint with the Ak-Suu district police department. In her statement, she reported that her partner J.K. (born in 1979), while under the influence of alcohol, insulted her, humiliated her dignity, and used physical force against her.
The complaint was registered in the electronic log of the Ak-Suu district police department, and a preliminary investigation was initiated. During the investigation, the woman stated that they had begun living together in a common-law marriage since November 2024, and since then, the insults had become regular. She had not previously contacted law enforcement.
To determine the presence of bodily injuries, a forensic medical examination was appointed, which classified the injuries as minor, causing temporary health impairment.
On February 25, 2026, a preventive letter was sent to the company where J.K. works, recommending that measures be taken. The woman was issued a protection order by the Ak-Suu district police department.
As a result of the investigation, the investigative authorities refused to initiate a criminal case; however, considering the presence of signs of an offense, the materials were forwarded to the relevant territorial authorities for further action.
As a result of I.I.'s publication of information about domestic violence on the internet, public misunderstanding arose. In this regard, the Ak-Suu district prosecutor's office canceled the previous decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case and began additional investigative actions. A repeated forensic medical examination has now been appointed, and investigative activities are ongoing.
