According to information, on January 30, 2025, a 22-year-old citizen D.A., born in 2003, approached the city department of internal affairs with a statement that she had been subjected to sexual violence by an acquaintance against her will.
“The statement was registered in the electronic log of the Karakol Department of Internal Affairs, after which preliminary investigative measures began. During the investigation, a forensic medical examination was appointed, and the suspect was identified as T.B., born in 1995, from the Ak-Suu district,” the police clarified.
Later, the applicant repeatedly contacted law enforcement agencies requesting to withdraw her statement. The results of the forensic medical examination did not reveal any signs confirming the fact of rape.
The initial decision made by the investigative authorities was overturned by the prosecutor's office, and the case materials were returned for additional verification. However, considering the mutual consent of the parties, a criminal case was not initiated.
Currently, against the backdrop of a video appeal that appeared on the internet, the case materials have been re-registered in the electronic log of the Karakol Department of Internal Affairs, and a new preliminary investigation is underway.
