According to the data, on January 15, 2026, at 01:20, a report was received at the Kyzyl-Kyia city internal affairs department that an accident occurred on Kulatov Street, opposite the "Altyn-Ordo" restaurant, where a "Volkswagen Passat" car hit a pedestrian. After the incident, the driver left the scene, abandoning the vehicle.
The mentioned information was registered in the electronic journal of the Kyzyl-Kyia Internal Affairs Department, which initiated an investigation. An operational investigative group was dispatched to the scene.
During the investigation, it was established that at the 83rd kilometer of the Osh–Razakov highway, a silver "Volkswagen Passat," moving from east to west, struck a 74-year-old resident of the city. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
As a result of the conducted operational-search activities, the employees of the Kyzyl-Kyia City Internal Affairs Department identified the owner of the vehicle. With the help of surveillance footage located in the city, J.B., born in 1992, a resident of the Uch-Korgon rural district of the Kadamjai region, was detained and handed over to the investigative authorities.
Currently, investigative actions are being conducted in this case.
