The traffic accident took place on December 27 in the evening on 7th April Street. The driver, born in 2004 and named R.M., struck a pedestrian named K.A., born in 1995, who was crossing the road. After the collision, the driver fled the scene; however, the pedestrian unfortunately died from the injuries sustained at the scene.
Later, the perpetrator was apprehended and handed over to the Investigative Service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
A criminal case has been initiated against the driver under Article 312 of the Criminal Code, concerning violations of traffic safety rules and vehicle operation. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
A medical examination confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The vehicle involved in the accident has been placed in a tow yard. Necessary examinations have also been appointed, the results of which will serve as the basis for further procedural actions.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
